Kyros
Aproximadamente seis meses de ausência. Algumas coisas estive postando no outro blog, o [Eu do Meu Lado Aprendendo a Ser Tolo], mas mesmo nele acabei dando uma pausa bastante longa. Então vamos tentar retomar a coisa de onde paramos. Nesse período de ausência eu comprei um Tablet meio que genérico. Gastei uns R$379 em um Coby Kyros Mid 7015, com tela touchscreen de 7”, sistema Android 2.1 e 4 GB de memória. Após um tempo fui ver que comprei o produto até que relativamente caro, pois encontrei o mesmo por até R$250.
Um iPad 2 está custando em torno de R$1.650. Dá pra comprar pelo menos 4 Coby's pelo preço de um iPad. Ou seja, você pode perder 3 deles e ainda não vai chegar ao valor do iPad. Basicamente não deixa a desejar em relação ao iPad, senão por duas coisas: o touchscreen dele é meio "teimoso" alguns momentos e a tela de 10" - Achei que não faria diferença, mas faz uma grande diferença mesmo, principalmente para ler eBooks. Por outro lado se eu for assaltado e levarem meu Kyros, não corro o risco de esboçar alguma reação inconsequente ou ficar deprimido pelo dinheiro investido.
Então até o momento ele vem atendendo o seu objetivo de me entreter na viajem de volta do trabalho para casa, que dura cerca de 50 minutos a uma hora geralmente... E de manter o preço dos concorrentes em um patamar não muito elevado!

So let's return from where I stopped. On this break time I bought a Tablet, made in china kind. I spent about $125 on a Coby Kyros Mid 7015, 7" screen, Android 2.1 operational system and 4GB of memory. But only after my purchase I noticed that I would pay something less, because I had found it for $70.
The iPad 2 is priced around $500. You can buy at least 4 Cobies for the cost of one iPad. That means that you can lose 3 of them and still don't get to the price of an iPad. Basically the Coby is not so bad comparing to iPad, but for two things: Its touchscreen is a little stubborn sometimes and the 10" screen - I thought that it wouldn't make difference, but it does, mainly when you want to read eBooks. By the other hand if I get mugged and have my Kyros stole, I will not take risks to do an inconsequent reaction or being depressive because of the money I lost.
So until now my Kyros has been doing a great job entertaining me the way back home, that is about 50 minutes to one hour traveling... And preventing competitors from rising their prices!
