I was thinking about a problem that’s having been worrying a lot of people, including my wife. The question about the age of someone to be replaced at the labor market. You have no idea how hard it is to get replaced at the labor market when you have 35 years old or above. Excluding the cases when you are very good in what you do, already has marketing on your name, bla, bla, bla. That's when the companies come to you.
But don't worry dear grandpa / grandma. At least here at Pernambuco what I have been noticing is the grow of a large job market without skilled labor: the industry. I had suggested to a friend who was passing through this situation to do some technical course, like a course for Inspection and Measure of Natural Gas Systems. Yeap... Something very restricted, you tell me. But the sector of industries has been growing very much in the State and there's no skilled labor to supply it. Touch Down, she was hired to work at Suape little after this.
The SENAI/SESI (::SENAI Portal - National Service of Industrial Learning) offers many courses, a lot of them even for free, being just necessary to pay the registration fee. "Training professionals tuned to the labor market needing and with the internalization trends in Brazilian industry are the support to the Education to the New Industry program. It's also the main goal of the SENAI, that has been proving very effective in developing programs of appropriate professional qualification to the constant changes of the Brazilian industry" - Said Armando Monteiro.
By the way, my wife is already working again!

  1. You have reminded me of the community college I attend. Half the people are there for technical training. A two year nursing or computers diploma. Quick and useful. But limited. I am in a crunch as well, it is crunch month at school, which is the period leading up to hell week, which is the week before exams. Then we have exam week, which is worse than hell week (by the way, with the exception of exam week these are all my own terms).
