Rio se lleva los Juegos




O Rio de Janeiro irá sediar os Jogos Olímpicos de 2016, tirando pela segunda vez consecutiva o sediado da cidade de Madrid. O investimento aproximado será de cerca de 1,3 bilhão. O projeto trará algumas melhorias para a cidade, como uma reestruturação de ruas e avenidas para um acesso mais rápido aos locais dos jogos. Construção e reforma de estádios. Promoção do Brasil no cenário mundial e muitos outros.
Eu deveria estar bem feliz com isso tudo, mas particularmente tanto faz para mim. Não sei... Não consigo entrar nesse clima festivo de samba, alegria e tudo mais. Talvez pela minha natureza. Talvez porque hoje eu esteja mais cansado que os outros dias. Mas no fundo acho que porque não acredito que isso irá realmente trazer algum benefício para a cidade, onde o dinheiro empregado poderia ser bem melhor aplicado em melhorias básicas para a população.
Espero estar errado e tudo isso ser realmente bom e trazer alguma alegria...

I should be happy with all this, but particularly... Whatever... I don't know... I just can't get into this party mood of samba, happiness and every thing. Maybe because my nature. Maybe because today I'm more tired then usual. But deep inside me I don't believe that this will really brings some benefice to the city, when all that money would be better used in benefice to the people (I mean health care, security, etc.)
I hope I'm wrong with all this and that this really bring (me) some joy!

    Sigh,someday I will get to South America. Good to know I did not offend you. I just hope that you do not end up with any white elephants, that is expensive things that only prove useful once. I hope you will be brought joy or at least a story to tell in a while drinking.

Semana passada havia comentado a respeito da divulgação de CPFs  em diversas mídias e sites e os problemas que isso pode trazer para o cidadão portador daquela identidade. Ontem foi publicado um edital de notificação no jornal publicando uma lista de xexeiros e seus respectivos CPFs! Lá, escancarado pra todo mundo ver! Não que um CPF já com débitos na praça vá servir de alguma coisa, pois provavelmente já está bloqueado o crédito para o mesmo, mas a questão é o acesso fácil a uma informação tão importante do cidadão. Volto a sugerir que para divulgação de editais ou listas, a omissão dos dígitos centrais do CPF garantiriam a identificação do cidadão, preservando a divulgação para uso ilícito. Data Protector Cannot connect to the SCM (Service Control Manager)

Antigamente meus backups de BD (Banco de Dados) se resumiam a cópias em disco que iam para HDs externos e tal. Há quase 6 meses eu venho trabalhando com uma ferramenta de backup de verdade, com biblioteca de fitas LTO, robô de mudança de fitas e toda aquela parafernália que faz com que o tempo de recuperação de um backup caia de 7 horas para 3 (ou até menos). Afinal, quando o BD para ninguém quer saber como você vai fazer para recuperá-lo, apenas querem que o faça o mais rápido possível. Bastante razoável. Essa ferramenta (HP Data Protector 6.20) consiste basicamente em um Servidor (Cell Manager) que conversa com o Cliente (local onde estão os dados que será feito backup ou onde você deseja restaurar o backup).
