I want to eat your cancer when you turn black!

A friend of us is with throat cancer, on a high evolved stage. His feeding is being by a probe, because his throat was completely closed by the tumor. Even this he were presenting a good evolution, already walking - he was moving only by a wheelchair. There had been noticing a substantial enjoy and hope from him.
So, last week, a nice doctor made the goodness to tell him that his disease was into a terminal stage and that he hadn't too much time remaining. Nowadays he enjoys his days lying on a bed, without talk or even opens his eyes. Just waiting the Death dress its prettier clothes to come take him...
I know that doctors have an ethic duty to inform their patients about their conditions, but until where this is viable, even for the own patient? Many people don't believe and also thinks there's none influence or relation (I'm one of those unbelievers), but the faith and hope really have an amazing healing power on some people. When those hope and faith are pulled out from us, there's nothing left. We lost our strength to fight and it's so hard to revert.
How advanced was the Ministry Dilma's disease and how much of information, or not information, had contributed for her cure? Maybe was not the case. Only her doctor would tell it. Sometimes it's just the way as you tell the information.

P.S.: I'm sorry for the strong image, but sometimes it's necessery...

  1. The other term for big grown squirrel is "overgrown", by the way. Not to be a jerk, your comment on language skill just made me think of it. As in grown larger than it should be. American and British English use different slang and spellings. Ex. Center for me, Centre in England. Pediatrician(doctor who specialized in the treatment of infants and children) Paediatrician over there. Naff for them, lame for me.

It sucks, I know. The doctor I know would tell me to go have a good time, not lie in bed all day.
