I spent the entire week adjusting and configuring the monitoring of Oracle instances for the Liguria site in Italy. After some setbacks, I managed to finalize the monitoring configuration on 8 hosts, two of which did not have active instances. I created a guide for my colleagues for future deployments. I also had a meeting with R&D Brazil regarding the monitoring of their instances and servers, as well as the amount paid to the third-party for performing this activity. I believe that more than 90% of the amount paid is related to monitoring, which can be done by our team.  I asked Angelica how much she believes we can actually reduce costs with the third-party, and in parallel, I will talk to Stefan to conduct a PoC on one of the R&D servers.

Passei a semana inteira ajustando e configurando o monitoramento das instâncias Oracle para o site Ligúria, na Itália. Após alguns percalços consegui finalizar a configuração do monitoramento em 8 hosts, cujo dois deles não havia instância ativa. Fiz um guia para meus colegas para as próximas implantações. Também tive uma reunião com R&D Brazil sobre o monitoramento das suas instâncias e servidores, assim como o quanto é pago para o terceirizado realizar essa atividade. Acredito que mais de 90% do valor pago é referente ao monitoramento, que pode ser feito pelo nosso time.  Perguntei a Angelica quanto ela acredita que pode de fato diminuir os custos com o terceirizado e em paralelo vou conversar com Stefan para fazermos uma PoC em um dos servidores de R&D.

Not much to add... I played X-COM2 and watched movies and series. Besides that, I watched Sport Recife 1 x 1 Santa Cruz... I hope Sport plays better next Saturday because despite having a good team, it is sluggish. And it seems that when it's close to the end of the game or one of the halves, it simply "gives up" playing and settles. That's what happened at the end of the first half when Santa Cruz scored a goal. It seemed like the game was already over, and Sport was just passing the ball waiting for the referee's whistle. Santa Cruz took advantage of this lapse and scored against the red-black team. Fortunately, Sport managed to score in the second half with a beautiful free-kick goal by Felipinho .

Espero que o Sport jogue melhor no próximo Sábado, porque apesar de ter um bom elenco, o time está lento. E parece que quando está próximo do término do jogo ou de um dos tempos, ele simplesmente "desiste" de jogar e se acomoda. Foi o que aconteceu no final do primeiro tempo quando o Santa Cruz furou um gol. Parecia que o jogo já havia terminado e o Sport só tocava bola esperando o apito do árbitro. Santa Cruz se aproveitou desse cochilo e estufou a rede do rubro-negro. Felizmente o Sport conseguiu empatar no segundo tempo com um belíssimo gol de falta de Felipinho

Angel asked me to analyze the proposal for Database Services from an outsourced company. The service scope seems to be within what is necessary. The price is a bit high, but 90% of the cost is related to monitoring instances and servers. I raised the issue in the weekly follow-up meeting, and Stefan added the item to discuss with Greg.  Angel me pediu para analisar a proposta de Serviços de Banco de Dados de uma terceirizada. O escopo do serviço parece estar dentro do que é necessário. O valor é um pouco alto, porém 90% do valor refere-se ao monitoramento das instâncias e servidores. Levantei a questão na reunião de acompanhamento semanal e Stefan colocou o item para debater com Greg. Expliquei que poderíamos estar reduzindo os custos em aproximadamente 80% retirando o Monitoramento, deixando essa tarefa com nosso time. A compra da Ultrafarma finalmente está em transporte e me levou ao cadastro em uma promoção da Record: Festival de Prêmios. Realizei o cadastro, mas não faço a mínima ideia do que fiz para estar concorrendo aos prêmios...   Instalei o novo MKP enviado pela Check_MK para corrigir o monitoramento do Replication Lag do MongoDB. Parece-me ter corrigido, mas os serviços ainda permanecem Críticos... Pode ser alguma configuração que precise ser ajustada. Entrou na minha fila para revisar... Troquei a tomada

  We almost aborted the follow-up meeting for the projects in France due to non attendance, but with a slight delay the participants showed up, although there wasn't much to add for the meeting.                                          I'm still having trouble configuring the hosts in Pedemontana. Mas ao menos corrigi a configuração de Monitoramento Distribuído: Houve uma apresentação do Plano de Previdência Privada, mas não vai me interessar. Não creio que me trará vantagens. Today was the HYDMedia Services Day Workshop. In the golden days, I used to travel to Germany and attend two days of workshops in person. This year, the event was reduced to half a day and held remotely... I managed to fix the network issue on the laptop. Just needed to restart ZScaller...   We are trying to set up an environment with HYDMedia to test and configure monitoring for HYDMedia. I tried to make the HYDMedia work in my internal environment, on server 120, but it's failing. I believe it's due to disk space... I tried to install HYDMedia on our Insight4U Windows10 server, but also without success. I think I'll have to remove and install another OpenJDK...   In parallel, I also started installing Check_MK agents on the Pedemontana hosts, but I encountered the following problem... Esse ano o evento foi reduzido pra metade de um dia e realização remota... Consegui corrigir a falha de rede no laptop. Bastando reiniciar o ZScaller...  Estamos tentando montar um ambiente com HYDMedia para testarmos e configurarmos o monitoramento ao HYDmedia. tentei fazer funcionar o HYDMedia do meu ambiente interno, no servidor 120, mas está falhando. Acredito que por conta de espaço em disco... Tentei instalar o HYDMedia no nosso servidor Insight4U Windows10, mas também sem sucesso.
